The Year in Books: December

Well.  I didn't read much in November at all.  Despite wanting to, I haven't.  I've got a stack of magazines to read (lovely thick glossy magazines such as Travel Africa) as well as Christmassy books I want to read but somehow, I just haven't read much at all.

I've managed a few more short stories from Kate Mosse's The Mistletoe Bride and other haunting tales and enjoyed them.  Quite a few are set in Sussex and even though I still don't know this part of the country very well, I can see how certain landscapes influenced certain stories.

What more can I say?  I'm looking forward to the fortnight I have off over Christmas (yay for university closure days!) and actually sitting down and doing some proper reading!

  1. I haven't read much either! I am hoping to pick my books up again soon, I am starting to miss a good story. Happy December reading.

  2. I have been loaned a copy of The Mistletoe Bride. It sounds like it's time I started to read it. Not always good with short stories but I do love Kate Mosse books. Hope yo get chance to do more reading. Barbara

  3. It's sometimes nice to not read too much for a little while, I always find that I go back to reading a lot more invigorated for having had a bit of a break. I hope you enjoy all those great magazines over Christmas x

    1. I've read three books in four days since I've been on my Christmas break - it's been lovely! I think now that I'm working full time it's just something I'm going to have to actively make time for. That's a resolution for the new year sorted!
