Secret Santas 2015

This year I took part in two gift swaps - Janet's Thrifty Gift Swap and Char's Secret Santa.

My Thrifty Gift Swap was from Leanne, and I can't fault it (not that you would fault a present, but you know what I mean!).

The little bottle contains marshmallow vodka (haven't tried it yet, but it smells amazing), the sweets didn't last long (the Parma Violets didn't even make it into the photo!) and the cat earrings and social knitwork badge (not entirely sure why I don't have a photo) are cute.  But the highlight? Mugs! Just look at those mugs!  We've just made mug cakes at Rainbows, which was great fun. The crocheting mug is fantastic, and is absolutely definitely becoming my new work mug.  Thank you, Leanne!

Funnily enough, the heart shaped tea strainer goes perfectly with my presents through Char's swap, which came with no name attached.

Loose leaf tea (I do love loose leaf tea) and an owl brooch and hand cream.  My hands have been really dry recently (I would blame the harsh winter weather, but it hasn't been that harsh, or wintry) so I've been working my way through bottles of hand cream.  Always willing to try out a new one.  And an owl! Can't beat owls.

Thank you to Janet and Char for organising these.  I hope the ladies who received my presents liked them just as much as I liked mine!

  4. I absolutely need the knitting version of that mug!

Our knitting secret Santa has been scheduled for mid-January - everyone agreed that they would need a January pick me up. Christmas should last as long as possible!

  6. Yay, you did really well!!! What amazing presents!!! I came here from Char's blog seeking your tiger rug to see but not sure where to find it! However, I can see this is totally my type of blog and I must come back on my computer to read more when I'm not on 15% phone battery!!

    1. Hello! I've not made the tiger rug yet...it's currently just balls of yarn under the coffee table! The first blog post in November for last year has my faux taxidermy fox head trophy in it if you want a look :-)
